WHERE I COME FROM
Richard Edward-Hicks (aka-Visibleman) spent his formative years in midwestern farm country. At 10 years of age, Hicks moved to Atlanta, GA with his family, and except for two years of living in NYC (2000-2002) had been a resident of the South ever since. Hicks began his creative career at Georgia State University where he studied Illustration and Graphic Design. He earned a BVA (Bachelors of Visual Arts) and has worked in art and design-related fields for his entire professional career.
In addition to a career as illustrator, designer, art director, Hicks earned an MA (Masters of Arts) from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). He also shows his work and paints live at art and music events such as Burning Man (Black Rock City, NV), Trasformus, (Asheville, SC), various Visionary Art festivals and other cutting-edge creative gatherings.
